"received many of the starts", the starts reads a little oddly given we don't know how many he actually made. I would suggest his starts would read better.

Same with the headings, title doesn't need capitalising.

I was wondering if we have a suitable link for write-in votes and came across Write-in candidate. However, it makes no mention of baseball so it's probably a little too loose. Thoughts?

"Sanchez received the Tony Conigliaro Award", probably worth adding what the award is given for.

"On July 21, he hit a three-run inside-the-park home run against Tim Byrdak as the Pirates defeated the Houston Astros 9–3", the source for this game is dated 22 July?
